I am responsible for security for a power generation company in Edmonton, Alberta. The company has 31 power plants in Canada and the United States.
Previously, I worked as a safety and security supervisor for an offshore oildrilling company in Houston, Texas; and as Director of Intelligence of an aviation security company, also in Houston.
I started my career as an infantry officer in the Canadian Army in 1977. Ten years later I joined the Canadian Forces Intelligence Branch, where I served for another fourteen years, retiring in the spring of 2001.

I am the Chair of the ASIS International Oil, Gas, and Chemical Industry Security Council; a member of the National Energy Security Professionals, and the ASIS CSO Roundtable. I am the Vice-Chair of the Canadian Electricity Association Security and Infrastructure Protection Committee; and a member of the Executive Committee of the North American Electric Reliability Corporation's Critical Infrastructure Protection Committee.
